ALF Mourns the Passing of Former Board Member Robert Merowitz

On behalf of the entire American Liver Foundation family, we express our deepest condolences to the family of our former board member, Robert Merowitz, who recently passed away. “Bob” was a strong champion for people affected by liver disease. Serving on the former New England board of ALF for more than 20 years, and on ALF’s national board for 5 years, he was devoted to making advances in research, education and advocacy. A liver transplant recipient, Bob championed local fundraising and awareness efforts in the Boston area to help ALF continue to advance its life-saving mission. Named ALF’s “Person of the Year” in 2015, Bob was a life-long philanthropist and led a successful real estate development business in Massachusetts. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his entire family.
