Community Education Webinar: The Journey Together: How Palliative Care Supports Patients with Advanced Liver Disease and their Families

Through this webinar, you will better understand the scope of palliative care. Our presenters will discuss disease prognosis and expectations and how to receive assistance with advance care planning. In addition, our presenters will discuss the differences between palliative care and hospice care. They will also review the benefits of palliative care for patients with advanced liver disease and share the story of how they worked together as a team with one patient. Our presenters include Sofia Simona Jakab, MD; Susan Zapatka, APRN; and Sarah Gillespie-Heyman, MSN, APRN-BC.
