Peter Cullen is an entrepreneur, angel investor and media executive who served in senior leadership and strategy roles with both major entertainment and start-up companies. Peter began his career with The Walt Disney Company where he spent a decade rising through the ranks and achieving the role of Vice President and head of business development for Disney/ABC Media Networks. Peter was also Vice President of Business Development for America Online, leading their West Coast Operations during the “dot com boom.” After a successful corporate career, Peter joined start-up, Premier Retail Networks (PRN) and helped build PRN to a $320 Million acquisition by Thomson SA. He then founded Wovenmedia, an industry leader for over a decade in cloud-based video management and digital signage solutions, currently reaching over 43 million viewers in over 28,000 locations monthly.
Connection to Liver Disease
Peter was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) at the age of 37 and developed Cholangiocarcinoma requiring an immediate lifesaving living donor liver transplant from his brother, Timothy. Unfortunately, his donated liver failed to thrive, resulting in a decade of ongoing surgeries and interventions to remain functional. The donated liver eventually developed recurrent PSC and Peter was once again in need of a liver transplant which he received from a deceased donor in 2016. Peter’s vivacious attitude and passion for ALF is seen in his participation in every Liver Life Challenge event, gala and most recently in new ALF branding. His career has provided thoughtful and strategic insight to our Marketing and Communications Committee.
