- On December 16th, Jim O’Neill, Acting Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), signed off on the recommendation from the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to end the long-standing recommendation that all U.S. newborns receive the hepatitis B vaccine at birth.
