My journey began when I was 8 weeks old, when I went down to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana to receive the Kasai Procedure.

At 41 days old Adriana underwent a cholangiogram that resulted in her being officially diagnosed with Biliary Atresia and receiving her Kasai procedure on January 17, 2019.

At 10 weeks old I was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia and I underwent my first operation of many, called a Kasai.

The first symptom of my liver disease was vomiting a large amount of blood. I was told I had end stage cirrhosis, when the day before I had no idea anything was wrong.

Bryan was a 22 year old U.S. Marine in perfect health. He was diagnosed with a rare chronic liver disease (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis).

A routine blood test at an annual physical showed elevated liver enzyme tests. It was then I received an official diagnosis of Hepatitis C.

March 9th 2013 my whole world changed. My liver failed that morning and was diagnosed with Acute Liver Failure and then Cirrhosis at the young age of 30.

They detected “elevated liver enzymes” and encouraged me to be seen by my doctor. This turned into 4 months of lengthy and extensive testing.

In her early thirties, Blum was already struggling to manage not one, but two rare liver diseases: primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and primary biliary cholangitis (PBC).

In 1992, after receiving results from a blood test, Bob Rice learned that he had chronic hepatitis C, a potentially life-threatening disease.

Some of you may already know, today I embark on my most testing journey ever taken, the process of getting placed on the USA organ transplant list – I need a liver.

I’m Becky and I was diagnosed with NASH and was put on the transplant list in 2011. Later in my journey I was officially diagnosed with Cryptogenic Cirrhosis.
