Connection to Liver Disease
Liz got involved with ALF in 2007 after her son, Alex, was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia. Alex had just been listed for a liver transplant and she was searching for information so she called ALF’s National Helpline. Since then, Liz has served several volunteer leadership roles for ALF – event planner, team captain and public speaker – and in 2012, she was named ALF Volunteer of the Year. In her role as mother, caregiver and living liver donor, Liz's vivacious can-do attitude makes Liz a vital asset to ALF’s Development and Marketing and Communications committees.
