Dr. Jennifer Guy is a transplant hepatologist and gastroenterologist at Sutter’s California Pacific Medical Center. She is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
Dr. Guy’s research interests include liver cancer and evaluating patients for transplant. She and her colleagues at CPMC pursue translational research into the molecular signatures of liver cancer, toward earlier diagnoses and more effective, personalized therapies.
Through Dr. Guy’s leadership, the liver cancer program runs clinical trials to evaluate new chemotherapeutic and biologic therapies, and incorporates outcomes research to assess patient characteristics and their response to therapy. The clinical trials program includes first- and second-line chemotherapies for chemotherapy-naïve patients and in patients for whom conventional chemotherapy has been unsuccessful.
Dr. Guy obtained an MD from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She completed residency training in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at UCSF. She holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Research from UCSF.
