A biopsy of my liver revealed that I was suffering from PBC. I was given medication to help slow the progression of the disease.

I was admitted to the local hospital for bleeding varices. I underwent surgery to stop the bleeding and was told I could possibly get a liver within the next few days.

I was diagnosed with Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC) in April 2016. Previous to the diagnosis, I experienced horrible fatigue that continued for 7 years before we figured out the cause.

Fifteen years ago I was diagnosed with a very rare chronic auto-immune disease called, Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC).

In her early thirties, Blum was already struggling to manage not one, but two rare liver diseases: primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and primary biliary cholangitis (PBC).

I was diagnosed with PBC. My symptoms other than fatigue were non existent. At that time I started having bleeding from esophageal varices, that however was just outpatient and manageable.

I was diagnosed with PBC at the age of 43. I suspect that I had it long before that as I had already been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and had been told I had high liver enzymes.

I was diagnosed with PBC after a year of elevated liver enzymes. I have made an effort to learn all I can about liver disease in general.

Regina's symptoms did not improve and a biopsy revealed primary biliary cirrhosis, an autoimmune disease that attacks the liver. She needed an expert in liver disease.

I was diagnosed with PBC Primary Biliary Cholangitis in May 09, after having pain from straining to move something at work.
