Primary Biliary Cholangitis

At the age of 35, after frequent lab results and repeated liver biopsies, I was diagnosed with PBC. For the next 10 years I felt fine without any symptoms.

I was diagnosed after elevated LFT’s. One day I awoke with horrific itch, head to toe. The doctor I saw ran an AMA2 test and sure enough, PBC.

I was a young mother, I had two kids, my dad had recently died, and I had a bad cold that would just not clear up. I was so exhausted. Ultimately I was diagnosed with PBC.
