Acute Liver Failure
March 9th 2013 my whole world changed. My liver failed that morning and was diagnosed with Acute Liver Failure and then Cirrhosis at the young age of 30. That day, I was given 72 hours to live without hope in sight. My MELD score was over 40 and the doctors tried to make me as ‘comfortable as possible.’ I was not ready, and I believe this disease is a blessing in disguise for me. Day 1, 2, & 3 came and went, but I was still alive and came back in an extraordinary way! I was able to bring my MELD score all the way down from 40+ to the 7 it is today.”
Today, I am strongly motivated to help others suffering and use my story and skills to help others who feel hopeless. Use the knowledge I learned about the importance of an organic diet and how I was able to manage the intense rush of feelings that leads so many to alcohol abuse. If your going through treatment and recovery, DO NOT give up. The doctors wrote me off, but I hung on. Today, I love life more than ever imaginable! If I can, so can you!
