Phil Shin

Phil is currently a Solutions Architect at Southern California Edison, supporting several finance-related software applications. He has worked for several global conglomerates such as Nestlé, Walt Disney Studios and Warner Bros leading the delivery and management of multiple financial planning and reporting systems. Phil’s ability to design and oversee complex strategic solutions will help ALF continue to grow and effectively fill gaps within the liver community.

Phil became involved with ALF in 2018 after he was diagnosed with liver cancer. In 2019, Phil received the gift of life from his friend, Mark, through a living donor liver transplant. Ever since his recovery, Phil has been cancer-free and has channeled his passion for running into giving back to the liver community. He participated with Team ALF at the Boston Marathon in both 2020 and 2021. In 2022, Phil, alongside his living donor Mark, made history as the first paired transplant recipients to complete the Boston Marathon together.
