Peter Cullen

Peter Cullen is an entrepreneur, angel investor, and media executive who has held senior leadership and strategy roles across major entertainment companies and high‑growth startups. He began his career at The Walt Disney Company, where he spent a decade rising through the ranks to become Vice President and Head of Business Development for Disney/ABC Media Networks. Peter later served as Vice President of Business Development for America Online, leading West Coast operations during the height of the dot‑com boom. Following his corporate career, he joined startup Premier Retail Networks (PRN), helping grow the company to a $320 million acquisition by Thomson SA.

Peter went on to found Wovenmedia, a leader in cloud‑based video management and digital signage solutions. Under his leadership, Wovenmedia became an industry leader for more than a decade and currently reaches over 43 million viewers each month across more than 28,000 locations.

At age 37, Peter was diagnosed with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and later developed cholangiocarcinoma, requiring an immediate lifesaving living donor liver transplant from his brother, Timothy. When the donated liver failed to thrive, Peter endured more than a decade of surgeries and medical interventions. After developing recurrent PSC, he received a second liver transplant from a deceased donor in 2016.

Peter’s resilience, optimism, and deep personal connection to the cause are reflected in his longstanding involvement with ALF, including participation in every Liver Life Challenge event and gala, as well as recent contributions to ALF’s national branding efforts. Peter currently serves on ALF’s National Board of Directors and is a member of the Nominating Committee, bringing strategic insight, entrepreneurial leadership, and a powerful patient perspective to advancing liver health nationwide.
