Gordon Scott

Gordon Scott is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for CIBC Asset Management and has more than 20 years of investment industry experience. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University in 1989 and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

Before joining CIBC in 2017, Gordon spent nine years at Rail-Splitter Capital Management. He began his career with 12 years of leadership experience across consumer-packaged goods and pharmaceutical business units at Merck and Pfizer. He is an active member of the CFA Society of Chicago and the Economic Club of Chicago.

Gordon’s commitment to the American Liver Foundation is deeply personal: his wife and two of his daughters live with rare genetic liver diseases. A dedicated ALF fundraiser and advocate, he was among the top fundraisers for the 2024 Boston Marathon and later ran the Chicago Marathon while serving as Liver Life Challenge Chair. He is especially passionate about advancing research for rare liver diseases. Gordon also serves on the Northwestern University Leadership Circle Board, the Sunset Ridge Education Foundation Board, and the Brady Chicago Regional Leadership Council.
