Role of Hepatocyte Bile acid synthesis in shaping autoreactive CD8+ T cells during autoimmune hepatitis
Autoimmune Hepatitis is a rare form of autoimmune liver disease that are becoming increasingly common and pose a significant health risk. Bile acids that are critical for liver health, are dysregulated during liver diseases. Our proposed studies aim to uncover how bile acid synthesis and its dysregulation during autoimmune hepatitis promotes inflammation and liver damage, paving the way for new therapeutic targets with significant implications for human health.
