In 1990 Naomi Judd was diagnosed with hepatitis C that she contracted as a result of a needle stick injury when she worked as a nurse. The prognosis was not good and she went through painful treatment that made it impossible for her to continue the touring rigors of her country music stardom.

ALF pays tribute to Vinay Sundaram, MD of Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA who passed away July 14, 2022.

During his tenure as Professor of Medicine and Director of the Liver Study Unit at the University of Chicago, Dr. Baker helped develop the first Liver Transplant program in the Midwest.
