Kendall’s motivation to promote Liver Disease Awareness began when he learned that his mother was infected with Hepatitis C.

I was diagnosed with hepatitis C in 1990, after attempting to donate blood. I went through two rounds of treatment locally, which were unsuccessful.

I received a small white envelope in the mail informing me that my blood donation could not be accepted because I was infected with a virus called hepatitis C.

I found out over 30 years ago that I had hepatitis C after a blood transfusion. Not much was known about “non-a, non-b” hepatitis as it was called at that time.

David is a father of two and grandfather of two, has experienced the struggle against liver disease over many years. His medical history: Hepatitis C (twice), cirrhosis and a liver transplant.
