2nd Pediatric Autoimmune Liver Disease Symposium & Family Day
Cases of Autoimmune Hepatitis (AIH) and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) were first described more than 50 years ago. However, research has yet to uncover their genetic and immunologic underpinnings, identify novel means to monitor disease progression, and establish more effective ways of restoring immune tolerance and preventing progression of liver disease. This conference is directed toward all individuals interested in pediatric onset AIH or PSC – patients, families, scientists, pediatric gastroenterologists/hepatologists, GI fellows and residents, clinical nurse specialists, radiologists, pathologists, nutritionists and other health care providers. This inaugural conference sponsored by the Center for Autoimmune Liver Disease (CALD) at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center will offer a comprehensive discussion of basic, translational and clinical research on pediatric Autoimmune Liver Disease (ALD) and state-of-the-art management.
