American Liver Foundation Greater Los Angeles Division is proud to partner with local physicians, hospitals and medical centers and to provide support group information to our liver community. We thank our partners for their continued efforts in helping liver patients, their families and care givers. Below is the most current list of support groups in Greater Los Angeles area including Orange County.


Cedars-Sinai

The Cedars-Sinai Comprehensive Transplant Center offers a multi-organ transplant support group for patients and caregivers. It is mostly attended by liver transplant patients. The group meets on the first Thursday of the month from 12-1:30pm on the third floor of the Comprehensive Transplant Center, 8900 Beverly Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA  90048. UCLA

UCLA holds support group meetings for Liver/Intestinal Transplant patients. It is open to pre- and post-transplant patients. Meetings are held every Wednesday from 12-1:30pm at the 200 Medical Plaza Suite 206. Refreshments are served. For registration or more information please call: 310-267-9766


Children Hospital of Los Angeles

Biliary atresia day at Children Hospital of Los Angeles on Saturday, October 6th from 10 am to 3 pm. Registration is required.

Torrance Memorial Medical Center

Hunt Cancer Institute- Cancer Resource Center at Torrance Memorial Medical Center will hold the following events:

St. Joseph Hospital

St. Joseph will hold patient support group meeting on the following dates: TBA

Liver Disease Support Group at UC Irvine Health

This support group is designed to enhance communication among patients, their families/caregivers and UC Irvine liver specialists by face to face meeting and open discussions. UCI goal is to provide education on liver diseases, support and quality of care to patients and families.

Dates are:

Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Topic: How to work with your liver specialist and keep your liver healthy

Location for all meetings is: UCI Medical Center, H.H. Chao Comprehensive Digestive Disease Center. 101 The City Drive, Orange, CA 92868. Building 22C, CDDC, First floor, 1502-B Classroom

American Liver Foundation Support, Arcadia:

ELA/ Arcadia Methodist Hospital Support Group. Location: 300 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA 91007. Classroom Number 4. All meetings are from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

2018 ELA/ Arcadia Support group meetings are held on Tuesdays on the following dates:

American Liver Foundation support group, Northridge:

These support group meetings are held on the following Wednesdays at: Northridge Hospital. 18300 Roscoe Blvd., Reseda, CA 91325. Room number will be posted at the Hospital lobby prior to each meeting. All meetings are held from 6:30 to 8 pm.

2018 Support Group at Northridge Hospital are held on Wednesdays on the following dates:

Loma Linda University:

English meetings: Loma Linda University holds it Liver Support Group every first Friday of the month from 12-1:30 at the Transplant Institute. Loma Linda University Health. 25865 Barton Road, Suite 101
Loma Linda, California 92354.

These meetings are for patients and caregivers. There is the option to have a caregiver Support Group which breaks away when requested from caregivers in the group.

Spanish Meetings: Loma Linda University also offers support groups in Spanish on every first Wednesday of the month, from 5-6:30 pm. Facilitator is: Cynthia Ludi, LCSW
