Thomas F. Nealon III

Tom Nealon served as CEO and President of ALF until April 1, 2020. Prior to that he served as Vice Chairman and Director of Legal Affairs for LNR Partners, LLC – the largest special servicer in the commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) industry. He served in that role until January 2018.

Connection to Liver Disease
Tom became involved with ALF in 2001 when he signed up to be a member of Team ALF Run for Research Team for the 2002 Boston Marathon. To this day, he holds the marathon fundraising record at over $1,500,000. As time went on, Tom became more involved and eventually took on the role of ALF National Board Chair and then President and CEO. Under Tom’s leadership, ALF broadened its education programs for medical professionals and patients, expanded its federal advocacy efforts, secured new organizational and industry partnerships, provided critical support to young researchers, shared the patient voice at national conferences and FDA meetings, and provided life-saving information and services to an unprecedented number of people. He is a vital member of the ALF Board of Directors, BA and Nominating Committees.
